GRID TV Originals
GRID TV Originals is programming made with GRID TV rather than merely licensed to it — work we commission, co-produce or develop directly with independent creators, and that premieres on the platform.
Being straight with you: the Originals slate is in development, and we don't list titles here before they exist. When an Original is confirmed and dated, it gets its own page with credits, synopsis and a creator profile — the same treatment every title on GRID TV gets.
What an Original looks like
- Short-form documentary. Single-subject nonfiction, roughly 10–30 minutes, shot on location with the people it's about.
- Docuseries. Multi-part nonfiction following one scene, place or trade across episodes.
- Live performance. Recorded sets, showcases and stage work captured properly rather than on a phone from row twelve.
- Creator features. Profile pieces built around a creator's own work, produced with them, not about them.
- Street media. On-the-ground culture programming from the regions GRID TV comes out of.
Pitch an Original
If you have an idea suited to GRID TV rather than a finished film, pitch it. Send a one-page outline, what you've already shot if anything, and links to previous work. Finished projects should go through the filmmaker submission form instead.
While the slate builds
The catalog is already full of independent work worth your evening — including preserved films made outside the studio system decades before "independent" became a marketing category.
